It is a good indication that the school year is about to end when the temperatures go up over one hundred! And so it is. Next week we will enter the last month of the teaching year. We have learned a lot this year and are excited about entering a new grade next year. Thank you for all your help this year and I trust you will give the new teacher next year the same help you have given to me. Next Friday will be our fiesta with lots of fun and no classroom work. After that, it will be work right up to the end. Thanks again, for all you have done, and have a wonderful summer!

March is Marching away

We have already had lots of fun coloring the green things for March. One of the most colorful activities is the rainbow. I love seeing all the colors posted in our little classroom. The most fun activity was painting with paste the large seahorse. We sprinkled our paintings with sand. We cut them out, pasted them on blue construction paper then glued in front of it some "seaweed". What a unique picture. The students did a wonderful job cutting the seaweed section. I was so proud of them! We are now looking forward to our week of Spring Break. The students ask everyday how many more days till they don't have to come to school again. How wonderful the school provides us with this time when we are all needing a little break.

February is Exciting

We are planning lots of fun things this month. We will be having a valentine surprise craft class. That will give each student something extra special to give to their moms for Valentines's Day. Then on that special day we will have a little party to give good wishes to each other and laugh and play. We will also be having our Fun Friday celebrations and that is always interesting to see who gets to come and who is not. Then on President's Day we will celebrate at home with a fun day away from school. Yaa for February.
